FSN's annual Gingerbread House Building event is now open for registration! This holiday tradition is a favorite event among local families to welcome winter. We provide the kits and all the yummy decorations you need, you bring the creativity. Best part? We handle the cleanup afterward! Toddler kits ($15/kit) - Toddlers will be provided with graham crackers to build a simplified "gingerbread" house. All other kits ($30/kit) - Families, school-aged children, and teens/adults will be supplied with a house-building kit. Homemade royal icing, decorating materials, and a candy buffet will be provided at each session. Registration is required. #ICanHelp is a new program launched by Los Alamos County Social Services along with several other community partners. Starting November 7, anyone in need of food or a meal can pick up emergency meals and food items at several locations in Los Alamos County, including Family Strengths Network (while supplies last- we hope to get more periodically!). Our hours are Tuesday-Friday 9 AM - 1 PM, and Saturday 9 AM- 3 PM. Below are all the businesses that you can pick up emergency food.
