As parents we want the best for our kids. We often feel pulled in several directions. As we prepare for another school year. We enter into yet another schedule to coordinate. The busy mornings of getting our kids up and ready for school and out the door is just the start of our day. After a full day, our evenings are often met with the chaos of rushing to get our kids ready for extracurricular activities. Not to mention finding time to fit in dinner, bathing and homework. Life can feel exhausting for parents.
It is no secret why we may welcome the break that comes with our kids engaged in an online activity. A breath for us. But after our breath, oftentimes the fear sets in. How is social media, video games and all of the apps online that engage our kids affecting their thoughts, their motivation, their perspective on life. Have I failed as a parent? So many parents are feeling the overwhelm, scare and perplexity of screen time.
