Who empowers students by using national, research-based, age-appropriate curricula to teach safety and personal advocacy skills. FSN brings WHO to Los Alamos Public School 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 8th graders, and middle school students with special needs. WHO’s objective is to reduce emotional, physical, and sexual abuse at home (domestic violence), at school (bullying, peers), or in public (predators). Healthy Relationships covers these topics in the 11th grade Health class. The class helps teen transition to safe and thoughtful young adults and provides information about resources for those in distress. These programs are funded by the Northern New Mexico Health Grant Group and the Los Alamos Kiwanis Club.
