Did you miss the Symposium last April? Now is your chance to hear about cutting edge research for parents and educators.
I. What Were You Thinking? The Science of the Teen Brain
Dr. Abigail Baird presents results of behavioral and functional imaging studies to explain the biology of lapses in judgement that so often leave adults asking "what were you thinking?" Abigail Baird is Assistant Professor of Psychology at Vassar College.
II. The Affects of Substance Abuse on the Brain
Sara Feldstein-Ewing, Ph.d and Mike Weisend, Pd.D from the Mind Research Network present current research. MRN is a non-profit organization focused on imaging technology as an integral element of neuroscience investigation.
Here is what Los Alamos parents and educators had to say about Abigail Baird:
"Excellent info, truly energizing, fun - I could have listened to her twice as long."
"Informed, convincing, entertaining, credible."
"Clear, funny, and gave me a better perspective on teens."
"She was awesome. Really got my attention and made me laugh."
"Superb talk, both in terms of content and delivery."
